Accounts Assistant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our interior design studio. The ideal candidate will assist in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the finance team with bookkeeping, invoicing, and expense tracking. This role requires a keen eye for detail, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to multitask in a creative, fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES


1.Financial Transactions & Record Keeping

  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts related to client projects and suppliers.

  • Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate ledgers.

  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and petty cash records.

2. Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Manage supplier invoices, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.

  • Track client payments and follow up on outstanding balances.

  • Issue invoices to clients based on project milestones and contracts.

3. Project Cost Management

  • Assist in tracking project budgets, expenses, and profitability.

  • Monitor costs for materials, furnishings, and subcontractors.

  • Support the team in preparing financial reports on project expenditures.

4. Payroll & Expense Management

  • Process staff salaries, reimbursements, and other payments.

  • Manage employee expense claims and ensure compliance with company policies.

5. Financial Reporting & Support

  • Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and management accounts.

  • Provide financial data for budgeting and forecasting.

  • Support external auditors by preparing necessary documentation.

6. Administrative & Office Support

  • Maintain financial records and filing systems for invoices, contracts, and receipts.

SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software  Tally Prime  is a plus.

  • Good understanding of basic accounting principles.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.

  • Good communication skills (both written and verbal).

  • A positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
